About Barks & Blooms™ North Carolina

Our Mission

Bringing the award winning Barks & Blooms™ to the Charlotte, NC market was a dream come true for us! When we care for your pets, it’s not just an important job to us. It is our passion. We are both avid animal lovers and for our human clients, we provide a service that is reliable, personal, and honest. Pets are most comfortable in their familiar surroundings, and our goal is to give our clients piece of mind knowing your pet is receiving the best care possible. For our canine, feline and critter clients, we provide exercise, companionship and LOTS and LOTS of love. As pet parents ourselves, we understand the importance of a happy tail!

In addition to owning Barks & Blooms™, Daniela and Jamie also strongly believe in giving back to the community. They personally volunteer time with local rescues and are foster parents to dogs in need! Barks & Blooms™ has also partnered with several non-profit rescues, to help find loving animals their “Forever Homes”. For more information on our partnerships and fundraising please see our community link.

Jamie’s Bio

Jamie with her dog, Winston.

It’s no secret (even to my husband) that Winston, my golden retriever is the love of my life! I’ve always had a passion for animals! I grew up with cats in particular but my love and admiration for dogs grew stronger with every dog I met. When I got my puppy Winston, he simply stole my heart. I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree and went on to pursue a career in Gemology for the next six years but I continued to dream of a life & career with animals. My love for Winston and dogs in general helped give me the courage to leave my career and pursue my dream of owning my own pet sitting and dog walking business.

Opening Barks & Blooms™ in Charlotte, NC is truly my passion and a dream come true. Another dream of mine, coinciding with owning Barks & Blooms™, was to make Winston a therapy dog as he has the perfect calm and patient temperament. Winston and I will be living out this dream starting in May as he begins his therapy dog training. I am excited to give back to the community, and I could not be more proud of him! I am looking forward to extending my love and passion to our clients (the barks family).

Daniela’s Bio

Daniela with her dogs, Brody and Sasha.

I am a life long animal lover/advocate and have had pets for as long as I can remember. I graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Biology specializing in marine science. I served a year in Americorp as a lead field biologist for the National Park Service working with endangered shore birds. Since I moved to Charlotte in 2005, I have been an animal advocate and volunteer with several local rescues. I have extensive experience with many different animals, dog breeds and temperaments. In my free time, I enjoy serving as a board member/ core volunteer for a local rescue here in Charlotte. I am the proud owner of 3 fur kids and I also enjoy being a foster mom to dogs in need. Animals have always been, and will continue to be a big part of my life.
